Chuck Staley was born in Memphis and spent his youth growing up in small towns scattered across the South. Following high school he studied art at the Memphis Academy of Arts and engineering at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. After a stint in the Army Signal Corps in Europe, Staley went to work in television broadcasting, first in Memphis and then in Hollywood, directing thousands of hours of music videos, commercials and TV programs of all sorts, including six years with CBS News at Television City, during which time he wrote Murder on the Six O'Clock News, making sure to follow his own rule as a teacher of writing at LA City College, "Write about what you know." Murder on the Six O'Clock News is now out in paperback on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2osCeBL Let me know what you think after reading it. Cheers!
