Artist's Description
While working at WHBQ Television in Memphis I first met Elvis Presley when he was a guest on Dance Party. On June 16, 1956, I took these pictures of Wink Martindale, Elvis, co-host Suzie Bancroft and WHBQ Disk Jockey Dewey Phillips, who first played Elvis records on the radio.
1956 was Elvis Presley's best year with hit after hit. What a piece of history this is and you will find it only here. Thank you... Thank you very much!
