Description
It's Saturday night in Memphis in 1957 and Sam Phillips, owner of Sun Records, throws a party for Elvis, who is in town for Easter. Only a handful of close friends are invited. I tell Elvis I'm trying out some new film that shoots in low light and he says that's fine with him, so I shoot 16mm film that night.
Here we are at the pool table where Sam and Elvis are playing 8-ball. Sam's wife Becky is on the phone and young Knox watches the game. This is a frame from my footage which was bought and included in the film "This is Elvis."
