Olive Brady - Ziegfeld Follies:
In approximately 1917, Alfred Cheney Johnston was hired by famed New York City live-theater showman and producer Florenz Ziegfeld as a contracted photographer, and was affiliated with the Ziegfeld Follies for the next fifteen years or so. Johnston was known for his portraits of Ziegfeld Follies showgirls as well as of actors and actresses from the worlds of stage and film.

Whether it's writing, directing, reviving Art Deco, or colorizing Silver Screen Stars, my jobs have always been on the creative side. Even now that I'm in my 90s, and with over a 1,500 images from which to choose, I still look forward to the next decade and reaching 100 and more.
