Description
Trafalgar Square is a public space and tourist attraction in central London, built around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. In the background is the National Gallery. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900.
This is from a 35mm slide that I took there in 1954, while in the US Army, and on vacation for 30 days. I was going to stay there for only a few days, but met a girl and stayed the whole month. While there I saw the musical play, "The Boyfriend," the same night that the Queen and Margaret attended.
I like London and have visited several times.
