Vivian Porter — Ziegfeld Girl: Photo by Alfred Cheney Johnston.
Vivian Porter was a dancer who appeared in the Ziegfeld Follies and the George White's Scandals. She was born Vivian Constance Porter on July 27, 1911 in Mount Vernon, New York. Her British father, Walter Porter, worked as a real estate agent. Vivian made her Broadway debut in the 1929 musical Show Girl. Then she danced with the Rockettes and appeared in the musical Girl Crazy. In 1931 she joined the cast of the Ziegfeld Follies. The following year she starred in George White's Music Hall Varieties. She also worked as an artists model and often posed for Alfred Cheney Johnston. The beautiful blonde had a small part in the 1934 film Moulin Rouge. Unfortunately it would be her only movie role.

Even now that I'm in my 90s, and with over a 1,500 images from which to choose, I still look forward to the next decade and reaching 100 and more.
